[canon] Wulf was one of the programs in Disc Wars while Sam Flynn was fighting Pike. He defeated a program named Miner, and was slated to fight Urban in the second round. The result of his second match is not known.

[here] Wulf was imported into the Grid shortly before Flynn fell. He'd been written as a recompilation program, able to diagnose and repair minor problems in the code of other objects or programs and, in worst cases, to lock off and stabilize damage so that it would not spread. After the coup, he was cycled through a number of functions before being assigned to the Arena, where he was authorized only to patch new arrivals up enough to guarantee a good showing in the Games. His career came to an abrupt end when he was caught smuggling energy in for a prisoner and was sentenced to the Arena himself.

Written to repair, interact with, and report to other programs, he never really formed a close relationship with his User (a relative of Roy Kleinberg's, known to his program only by a screenname) or expected to encounter any others after being upgraded for the system he was meant to run in. A hopeful program to start with, almost painfully eager to please, he had most of the shine knocked off him in the thousand cycles of Clu's rule and doesn't really expect to survive for much longer. Nonetheless, he's mutinous in the face of danger and, with his innate knowledge of programs' vital systems, knows exactly how to take an enemy down if given the chance.

As to the rest, he's easily distracted, good with his hands, terrible at recognizing faces (but never forgets a diagnosis), tends to talk too much when he's nervous and too obliquely when he's not paying attention, and had lightcycle and tank-operator privileges before Clu's new rules went live, so that's something else he looks forward to doing again.
